The Band of Brothers Breakfast Club, who meet at Jack’s on West Main, are almost back to full membership.
The boys meet three days a week Monday, Tuesday and Friday to solve City, County, State, Country and World problems.
All members have had both COVID shots, been wormed and investigated.
They are, back row, left to right, Darrell Marecle, Allen Sudduth, Jim Karrant, Jim Clark and Bob Boyd; middle row, Jacque Prather, Howard Davenport, Tony Lute and Bob Kenney; and front row Terry Swindol and Mike Wilson.
Only two official members were missing - Jerry Duckett and Bill “Cowboy” Lowry.
We do have a few regular visitors who stop by from time to time, but they haven’t made the cut yet, Billy Joe Holland, Jim Johnson, Buddy Palmer, Danny Riley and Paul Thorn.
Sorry ladies - but all are spoken for but our wives might consider replacing us for a good dog (on certain days). You can email any questions you’d like us to consider, photos you’d like identified or general advice about surgeries - courierL@bellsouth.net
“The Boys Are Back in Town” is a reference to the great Thin Lizzy song, which perhaps three of the above are familiar with. For the rest you have to travel back in time to “On Top of Old Smoky.”
