Dear Mrs. Clark,

Northeast Mississippi, August 13, 2014—United Way of Northeast Mississippi has kicked off the 2014 campaign with a fundraising goal of $2.425 million. This goal is an increase of $25,000 over last year’s goal of $2.4 million and is the largest campaign goal to date.

The 2014 Campaign Cabinet, led by Campaign Chair Gerald Wages, has already been hard at work meeting with business leaders in the area to discuss the United Way campaign. The Campaign Cabinet and the Campaign Chair are volunteers who assist United Way staff with the fundraising campaign.

The 2014 campaign will last until approximately the end of December. The funds raised during the campaign will be allocated to United Way’s partner nonprofit agencies in early March.

In 2013, United Way raised just over $2.45 million, exceeding the 2013 goal. These funds were allocated to 68 health and human services agencies across the seven counties served by United Way of Northeast Mississippi: Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tishomingo, and Union counties.

For more information about the United Way campaign, contact Russ Wilson, Campaign Director, at 662-841-9133.
