By now the Reagan family of CBS’ Blue Bloods have become extended family members we’ve all come to love and trust. The Catholic, mostly police, family is led by Francis Xavier "Frank" Reagan (Tom Selleck), the NYPD Police Commissioner.
Frank's oldest son Danny (Mark Wahlberg) is a NYPD detective, his youngest son Jamie (Will Estes) is a NYPD police officer, and his daughter Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is the assistant district attorney.
Over the soon-to-be seven years the series has aired we’ve come to know each member of the family, their strengths and weaknesses.
Season 6, all 22 episodes, has recently released on DVD.
One of the draws of this highly popular series is it’s filmed on location in New York City and the writers rip plot lines from headlines.
The first show starts after a recent terrorist attack in the Middle East, Frank becomes convinced that New York City is the next target. His claims are confirmed when a waitress at a club tells Jamie and Eddie that she heard a regular speak terrorist-like language. Coincidentally, a foreign-speaking man runs into Danny and frantically informs him that his neighbors possess bombs. With time running out, the Reagans must try to stop the bombers.
