According to Jodie M. Boyd, parent liaison for Lee County Schools, “The first word that comes to mind when I think of Belinda Tutor is GENUINE. As a parent, I have personally experienced the “genuine” heart of Mrs. Tutor and how it drives every aspect of her job as a counselor/educator. “Whether you are a student, parent/grandparent, co-worker or visitor to the school, you will feel welcomed and genuinely loved if you are in her presence.” Megan Cates, principal at Mooreville Elementary had this to say about Ms. Tutor: “In my mind, she is what a School Counselor should be within a school setting. She goes above and beyond to stay abreast of the newest strategies as well as using what she already knows that will work with our students. Mrs. Tutor is constantly growing and learning as a professional.” Belinda has been married for 36 years to her husband Mark and they have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandsons. Belinda will represent Mississippi in the 2022 ASCA School Counselor of the Year Selection Process.
