False Pretense Bond set and Capias served

On Oct. 4, 2021 Jessica Leigh James, 38, of Tupelo. was accused of False Pretense for a fraudulent check that she attempted to cash at Money Man (420 South Gloster).

She had left the scene prior to officer arrival but charges were filed. James was arrested on Nov. 19, 2021 and Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set bond on that charge at $5,000.

Also, on Nov. 19, 2021 two outstanding capias warrants were served on James. Details are below:

On June 6, 2021, James had been accused of False Pretense related to fraudulent checks being passed at B&D Market (1669 Cliff Gookin Blvd.).

The case was presented to Lee County Grand Jury and a Capias was issued. Capias Bond was set at $100,000 for False Pretense.

On July 1, 2021 James had been accused of stealing a Toyota Camry from Carmax on Tom Watson Drive when she test drove it on June 22, 2021 and did not return it.

On July 5, 2021 James was stopped while in the vehicle. The case was presented to Lee County Grand Jury and a Capias was issued. Capias Bond was set at $10,000 for Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
